A Healthy Lifestyle

Many people turn to drug abuse, alcoholism, theft, or other crimes when desperate situations arise. Seminole Addiction Treatment Services & Counseling (SATSC) is here to help. We believe that proper assessments and treatments are necessary to promote a healthy lifestyle and a reduced re-offense rate throughout the community. Our methods have been proven to help reduce the rate of rearrests or re-incarcerations since its development in 1985 by Dr. Gregory Little and Dr. Kenneth Robinson. We stand behind the power of our treatment programs and aim to make them affordable so that more people can have access to them. Operating out of Sanford, FL, we are healing the community, one client at a time.

We believe that smaller, gender-specific group counseling is more effective than large groups that may include mixed gender, ages, and situations. We try to keep groups small (4-6 people), gender-specific, and age appropriate. We also make the attempt to put clients in the same group that typically have the same professional situations and affiliations.

Domestic Violence

An estimated 2 million Americans are assaulted each year by an intimate partner, which often leads to lifetime trauma and disorder for victims. Rehabilitation for those who perpetrate domestic violence is an important tool in reducing this immense problem. SATSC offers evidence-based programming that can help perpetrators be accountable for their actions, understand why they have acted violently and confront those tendencies in current situations. Our Batterer's Intervention Program (BIP) has been shown to be up to 300% more effective. Our domestic violence program is divided in 24 modules with each module completed in a group session for 29 weeks.

Substance Abuse

People abuse substances such as illegal drugs, opiates, and alcohol for varied and complicated reasons, but it is clear that our society pays a significant cost. The toll for substance abuse can be seen in our hospitals and emergency departments through direct damage to health by overuse and addiction which leads to physical trauma. Jails and prisons tally daily the strong connection between crime and drug use and abuse. At SATSC, our mission is to help the community by providing effective, proven effective tools to combat addiction and empower individuals in their journey to recovery.

Mental Health

Millions of Americans live with various types of mental illness and mental health problems, such as social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, drug addiction, and personality disorders. SATSC is committed to providing those who are suffering from these conditions with relief in the form of day to day and step by step care. By providing coping mechanisms and a support system, recovery and healing is possible.
